I pledge

As a graduate of the German University in Cairo, wherever my life may take me, I will use my knowledge, experience and skills to the best of my ability for the well-being of my communities and the advancement of learning and the public good.

I will conduct myself with honesty and integrity taking responsibility for my actions, respecting the rights, opinions and dignity of all people.

I will be loyal ambassador for the university and will seek to protect its legacy to have open doors to the world, men and women, poor and rich, to individuals of talent from all social circumstances to join the GUC community in the free and open pursuit of knowledge.

I will always appreciate the difference GUC has made in my life and I commit myself to be the bearer of its torch, centre of its influence and promoter of its spirit.

I recognize that within the parameters of challenge and competition with my GUC peers and others, transparency and fairness are paramount.

In all my dealings, I will endeavor to be known as a person of honour and repute ever seeking to earn the peace of good and conscience.
