Galal Amin

Having recently joined the AUC as a Research Assistant, I'm used to start my day reading an email titled News at AUC. Today's email mentioned this: Galal Amin Retires After 44 Years of Teaching. Amin's been the best economist to analyze Egypt's situation, and how people've changed throughout the last five decades. For me, I consider his "Whatever happened to the Egyptians" and "What has life taught me" as my favorite books.

When I went through the article, I felt deeply sorry for I've missed Amin's last lecture he delivered few days ago in the next building. Anyway, I do recommend both books, and much recommended in Arabic...not much Egyptians can have a good Arabic language :)
